About The Position
UW Medical Center-Northwest - Urology, Pelvic Health, and Kidney Stone Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse. Our clinic provides comprehensive care for patients of all genders, including specialized pelvic floor rehabilitation, surgical and nonsurgical urologic care, and minimally invasive ultrasonic treatments. This is a dynamic ambulatory practice where training will be provided to experienced RNs who are new to the field of urology.
Requirements
- 2 years of recent nursing work experience in a hospital or an outpatient clinic
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
- BLS

- Experienced RNs who are new to the field of urology will be provided training.
Responsibilities
- Provides support during urodynamics testing
- Performs outpatient urology clinic procedures such as foley catheter placements, suprapubic catheter exchanges, and bladder instillations
- Administers specialty medications
- Educates patients and their families on urologic symptom management, pre-operative teaching, and post-operative care
- Answers patient calls and eCare messages
- Follows up on medical records and test results
- Assists with coordination of care and continuity of care process as part of the healthcare team
