Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator (RN) IMCU
About The Position
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring an RN Unit Coordinator for a Full-Time night shift on our IMCU in Charlottesville, VA. The Intermediate Care Unit - Cornell 1 is the Telemetry/Stroke Unit, providing care for patients with various cardiac and neurological conditions. This 30-bed unit has a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 and is supported by additional patient care technicians, educators, and a strong leadership team. The Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for their assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care within the department. They will lead safety and quality initiatives, focus on workflow simplification, and contribute to staff development, aiming to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Nursing - BSN (required)
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- 18 Months of acute care RN experience (required)
- Previous healthcare experience (required)
Nice To Haves
- MSN (Preferred)
- Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
- stroke tele area experience (preferred)
- IMCU or ICU experience (preferred)
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
