Registered Nurse (RN): IMCU
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at Aurora West Allis Medical Center will be responsible for coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role involves building foundational skills and knowledge through preceptor-directed orientation, developing skills in triaging, lab interpretation, pathophysiology of disease process, pharmacology, time management, and communication for intermediate acuity patients. The RN will also develop collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team, provide continuity of patient care through 12-hour shifts, and be a valued member of a highly skilled nursing team committed to quality and compassionate healthcare.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- At least 1 year of experience as an RN

Responsibilities
