About The Position
Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator for the Emergency Department (ED). This role involves demonstrating proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and providing clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department. The RN Unit Coordinator, under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on simplifying workflow, and contributes to staff development. The goal is to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service. The position is in a brand-new Emergency Department serving rural Northeastern North Carolina, featuring a state-of-the-art Crisis Stabilization Unit. The facility has recently received Magnet® accreditation with distinction.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- 18-months of RN experience is required
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
