About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join their Emergency Department at the Galion location. The role involves meeting the communication needs of patients, families, and staff, preparing and compiling records, initiating directions from physicians and nursing staff, providing basic nursing care to Emergency Department patients, and maintaining regulatory agency requirements, nursing and facility policies and procedures, and standards.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire date.
Nice To Haves
- STNA Certification or Paramedic or EMS Certification.
Responsibilities
- Meets the communication needs of the patient, family and staff.
- Prepares and compiles records in the facility.
- Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff.
- Provides basic nursing care to Emergency Department patients.
- Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and facility policies and procedures and standards.
