About The Position

The Registered Nurse Triage (RN) supports the General Surgery Medical Group and is responsible for meeting patient care needs through inbound and outbound telephone practice under the direction of the Supervisor. The nurse assesses callers through active listening and clinical assessment, provides education, and uses advanced problem-solving skills to address patients’ immediate and ongoing needs, including acute and preventive interventions. Duties include telephone triage, patient education, Continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, and cleaning and stocking exam rooms. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, based in Arlington Heights, Illinois, with travel to surrounding offices to provide coverage. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Requirements

Current Illinois RN licensure.
Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
Be able to handle periods of high stress and work as a self-starter.
Be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, climb, and use hands repetitively for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and carry or push up to 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Office RN experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
