Registered Nurse - Telemetry
About The Position
This is a Telemetry Registered Nurse position requiring a start date of 3-4 weeks due to compliance tier, with biweekly start dates. The shift is 3x12 Days from 0700-1930. Please note that shift times and schedule during orientation may vary from normal contract hours. The unit cares for Adults & Geriatrics with conditions including total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic, medical covid, and oral surgery. The average daily census is 16, and every other weekend is required. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-6. The facility is a Short Term Acute Care hospital with 110 total staffed beds. Scrub color is Navy, and charting is done in Epic. Free parking is available in the parking lot.
Requirements
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required.
- Telemetry background required.
- Stroke care background required.
- Familiar with post cath care.
- Step down experience or Tele experience with taking care of stroke patients.
- Experience with post cardiac Cath patients.
- PCU, Cardiac CCL, Stroke care experience.
- EPIC charting experience required.
- 2 years of experience required.
- Accepts 1st time travelers.

Responsibilities
- Provide telemetry nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
- Care for patients with total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic, medical covid, and oral surgery.
- Float between Progress West and St. Peters as needed.
- Perform EPIC charting.
- Work every other weekend.
