About The Position
This is a Registered Nurse (RN) position on a busy medical telemetry unit with 22 beds. The unit specializes in the care of patients with conditions such as Stroke, TIA, Seizure, TBI, and mixed medical telemetry. The role involves administering common medications like Heparin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem via established protocols, reading and interpreting telemetry strips, and requires a passing score on a dysrhythmia exam. No nursing titration of drips is required. The unit is supported by Central Telemetry Monitor Techs and Unit Aides. The environment is traveler-friendly and emphasizes Bedside Shift Report, Patient Experience, and core measures related to stroke care. Candidates should be team-oriented and self-motivated.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a specialty setting.
- ACLS certification required.
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification required.
- Passing score on a dysrhythmia exam required.
- COVID Vaccine required (certification must be provided).
