About The Position
This role involves providing high-quality, specialized nursing care to patients experiencing respiratory disorders within a 36-bed telemetry unit. Nurses will engage in diagnosing and treating a variety of lung diseases or injuries, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary departments, including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a specialty area.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Active nursing license in Alabama or a Compact License.
- Must pass a Dysrhythmia Basic exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed).
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized care to patients with respiratory conditions.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 to ensure personalized attention.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
- Float to other units and facilities as required.
