About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Telemetry position is for a neuro-experienced telemetry RN at a short-term acute care teaching hospital and Level II Trauma Center / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The nurse may float between units and is expected to care for patients at a 1:5 ratio. The role involves caring for post-surgical neurology patients and patients with various neurological diagnoses. Documentation is done in Epic. The position requires every-other-weekend work; on-call and block scheduling are not required. Forty-eight-hour schedules are approved.

Requirements

• Neurology RN experience.
• Comfort with the NIH scale.
• Proficiency in caring for post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care to patients, including post-surgical neurology patients and patients with varied neurological diagnoses.
• Float between units as needed.
• Use the NIH scale in the care of neurology patients.
• Document in Epic.
