Registered Nurse - Surgical 900 W - Part Time - Day Shift
About The Position
Surgical 900 W South is a 25-bed adult med/surg unit specializing in GI and GU post-surgical patients. The unit offers special training for suprapubic catheter insertion, post-bariatric surgery training, and more. It is equipped with the latest technology, including a new virtual nursing program. The unit works closely with other disciplines to provide excellent care and outcomes. The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of patients experiencing medical conditions or surgical procedures. This includes assessing patient condition, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, keeping records, and providing patient and family support and education. The Registered Nurse must maintain a wide array of medical care knowledge to care for a diverse group of patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
- RN license active in the state of Missouri
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
- Exhibits valuable time management skills
- Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Previous nursing experience
