About The Position
The Surgery RN delivers care to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. The RN addresses the psychological, socio-cultural needs and education to surgical patients and their support person(s). Care begins when patient is informed that they need an operative or invasive procedure and ends when they return to usual roles and responsibilities.
Requirements
- ACLS
- BLS/BCLS
- PALS
Responsibilities
- Deliver care to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
- Address the psychological, socio-cultural needs and education to surgical patients and their support person(s).
- Provide care from the point when a patient is informed of the need for an operative or invasive procedure until they return to their usual roles and responsibilities.
