About The Position

The Meadows Psychiatric Center in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for the day shift. The role provides administrative and clinical supervision to nursing department staff throughout the hospital during the assigned shift and promotes quality patient care consistent with the center’s philosophy and objectives. The position is based at a 119-bed inpatient behavioral health facility with outpatient programs serving patients from children through geriatrics.

Requirements

Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License.
Genuine interest in psychiatric nursing.

Nice To Haves

Previous supervisor or manager experience is highly preferred.
Previous psychiatric nursing experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training and education are provided.

Responsibilities

Organize the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
Supervise nursing department staff and regularly evaluate their work performance.
Make effective decisions regarding patient care in compliance with facility policies and procedures.
Maintain communication among hospital Administration, Nursing Administration, and department leaders.
Relieve nursing staff for meal breaks.
