About The Position

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing staff and foster a strong, supportive team at the South Mountain Restoration Center. This leadership role focuses on ensuring quality care, making residents feel safe, respected, and valued. Requirements

  • Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title).
  • Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance.
  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily guidance and oversight to nursing staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care for residents.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate resident care across multiple care areas.
  • Support nursing staff through mentoring, communication, and daily oversight.
  • Collaborate with administrators, supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care.
  • Maintain records, review documentation, and prepare required reports.
  • Provide training, encourage participation, and promote ongoing learning activities for staff development.
