About The Position

Join Essentia’s accomplished team as a Registered Nurse Supervisor in Brainerd and Baxter, Minnesota. In this vital role, you will partner closely with the Nurse Manager to oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing care and patient support services. You will play a key role in ensuring that care provided meets established standards, promotes optimal patient outcomes, and supports organizational quality and safety goals.

Requirements

• BSN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years previous RN experience in an OR or PACU setting.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Nurse Manager to assess, plan, manage, and evaluate nursing care and daily operations within our Surgical Services department.
• Ensure streamlined and effective patient care delivery systems that support smooth transitions across the continuum of care.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain an efficient and high-functioning unit.
• Drive clinical excellence through participation in departmental goal-setting and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support financial stewardship through effective operational and resource management.
• Facilitate orientation, training, ongoing education, and performance evaluations for nursing staff.
• Cultivate a collaborative, team-based environment that promotes clinical excellence and compassionate care in a fast-paced emergency setting.
