Registered Nurse Supervisor, Supportive Oncology
About The Position
This position will oversee the clinical operations for three sections (senior oncology, integrative oncology, and cancer survivorship) which includes care provided by 5 MDs & 4 APPs and a team of RNs and CAs. The Registered Nurse Clinical Supervisor is part of a multidisciplinary department of supportive care in cancer, with more than 25 nurses across different sections and locations. The supervisor supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, nursing service administration and delivery of care in the department. They engage teammates and provide leadership in the professional practice setting and nursing profession to serve as an effective change agent, maintain a healthy work environment, and promote innovation in care delivery. The role also involves coaching and counseling teammates, assisting with discipline, and participating in the interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BSN required; or RN candidates without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
- Minimum 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

- Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel in the department
