About The Position

The Registered Nurse Supervisor/Expert leads and supervises nursing teams, ensuring quality patient care delivery and adherence to healthcare standards and protocols. The role requires leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage nursing staff in a variety of settings. Supervisory duties depend on the hiring agency’s operational needs; employees in non-supervisory roles serve as senior technical experts. This position is with the Conway Human Development Center, located at 150 E. Siebenmorgen Rd., Conway, Arkansas. It is part of the Arkansas Department of Human Services, which serves Arkansans and supports the care and safety of vulnerable residents and patients.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
At least five years of Registered Nursing experience, including supervisory experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of clinical nursing practices, management, and patient care strategies.
Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to analyze patient data, assess outcomes, and adjust care plans as necessary.
Proficiency in healthcare regulations, policies, and quality improvement initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for supervising teams and interacting with patients.

Responsibilities

Supervise and provide guidance to a team of registered nurses and nursing support staff.
Oversee patient care planning, including assessing patient needs and monitoring outcomes.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and quality standards.
Provide clinical expertise and serve as a resource for nursing staff on complex cases.
