Requirements

• Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
• Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
• Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to nurses during daily care activities, treatments, and medication administration
• Monitor resident conditions, document care, and report changes to appropriate personnel
• Plan, assign, and evaluate work while managing staffing, performance, and training needs
• Investigate complaints and help maintain safe, effective, and respectful care practices
• Ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and staffing levels to meet resident needs
• Review documentation, assessments, and care plans to maintain accuracy and compliance
