REGISTERED NURSE SUPERVISOR/EXPERT

State of ArkansasLittle Rock, AR
$84,274 - $124,726Hybrid

About The Position

The Home and Community Based Services programs have 64 Registered Nurses located across the state for the management of approximately 10,000 frail Arkansans. Each RN has an average caseload of approximately 160 clients who meet nursing home admission level of care eligibility or physical needs which require assistance with personal care. RNs have to assess and reassess the clients in the counties, as well as develop individualized plans of care and provide oversight to the numerous providers to ensure waiver services are delivered timely and appropriately. Without approved and consistent documentation of level of care assessments and plan of care evaluation, across the state services become confusing and chaotic. Providers become frustrated and, many of the individuals would be forced into a nursing home which does not support the long-term care rebalancing initiatives for the Department of Human Services. The Registered Nurse Supervisor/Expert leads and supervises nursing teams, ensuring quality patient care delivery and adherence to healthcare standards and protocols. This position requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage nursing staff in a variety of settings.
