About The Position

This is a 1-year contract position for a Step Down Registered Nurse (RN). The role is for a 1st Timer, indicating it may be suitable for someone new to this specific type of assignment or facility. The position is in a Step Down unit, which typically cares for patients who are more stable than those in the ICU but require a higher level of care than a general medical-surgical floor. The hospital is a Short Term Acute Care facility with 379 total staffed beds and is a Level II Trauma Center.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Experience in a Step Down unit.
Ability to work every other weekend.
Must be a 1st Timer for this assignment.
48 hours per week are approved.
Must adhere to the dress code: solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire (scrub tops may have colored piping). Print tops are not acceptable.
Must park in designated employee/visitor parking areas.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Short Term Acute Care facility.
Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in a Step Down unit.
