About The Position

6 North is a 12 bed unit utilizing critical care and neuroscience principles at the Intermediate level. Common patient populations include patients transferring from the Neuro ICU. This unit takes care of patients who have experienced neuro trauma, subarachnoid, intraventricular or, intracerebral hemorrhage, ENT patients with cancer who have had a tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-operative spine patients and a wide range of neurological problems.

Requirements

• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIH required
• Epic experience required
• Must adhere to UVAs float policy
• Can submit with VA license pending

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care and neuroscience principles at the Intermediate level.
• Care for patients with neuro trauma, subarachnoid, intraventricular or, intracerebral hemorrhage.
• Care for ENT patients with cancer who have had a tumor resection and flap reconstruction.
• Care for post-operative spine patients.
• Care for a wide range of neurological problems.
• Adhere to UVA's float policy.
