This position is for a Registered Nurse-Specialty, Float who will be responsible for observing and assessing the health status of patients, initiating and administering treatments and medications, and managing patients undergoing local anesthesia and IV sedation. The role requires providing specialized care to meet patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, operating specialized equipment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The nurse will also be responsible for maintaining patient care standards, participating in hospital committees, and contributing to continuing education and quality improvement initiatives. A key aspect of this role is the ability to function in any nursing unit as assigned and to successfully cross-train to the Emergency Department (ED), Multi-Service Unit (MSU), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Inpatient Obstetrics Unit (OB/GYN) during a six-month orientation period. The position also requires completing all yearly Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) required training and assisting in compliance with established CMS standards.
