The role requires mastery of theories, principles, and methodologies underlying psychosocial practice, knowledge of developmental growth, human behavior dynamics, and the impact of illness and disability on social functioning. Demonstrated abilities in program planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as conducting assessments are essential. The SNC must possess strong capabilities to work with service members and/or veterans and their families experiencing a wide range of complex issues. Working knowledge of medical privacy (HIPAA) and accreditation standards (AAAHC, TJC) is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet familiarity. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary, particularly in communicating with individuals who may be ill, uncooperative, fearful, or agitated.
