About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate, experienced nurses for its Short Stay Unit at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. This unit, a newly renovated 25-private room Cardiac Medical Observation Unit (CMO), specializes in the care of Observation and Medical level patients, with a focus on cardiac patients pre and post-procedure. Requirements

• Associates of Nursing (ASN) required.
• Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse required.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program required.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA required.
• Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of care to Observation and Medical level patients during their brief stay.
• Specialize in the care of Cardiac patients pre and post procedure.
• Develop clinical expertise and critical thinking skills.
• Practice multi-tasking and time management skills.
• Act as a patient and family advocate.
• Provide Post Cath Lab care.
• Collaborate with top medical professionals.
• Deliver the highest level of patient care.
