About The Position
THIS IS AN ADAPTIVE ACUITY UNIT! ON OCCASION, TRAVELERS WILL BE ASKED TO PROVIDE PCU CARE (3:1 ratio). THIS CARE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE AND MAY NOT BE REFUSED. DRIP EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Must have experience with Insulin drips, emolol drips and sodium drips. CHARGE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS NEED. DO NOT UPLOAD A TRAVELER WITHOUT CHARGE OR WHO WILL NOT WORK CHARGE. NOTE: 48HRS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS NEED. Nurse: Patient - 1:5 Number of Beds; 25. Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD/DURING INTERVIEW WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better). Travelers may not take all holidays off. MUST work TWO blocks (if scheduled/needed): Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after New Year Eve through New Year Day and weekend after. PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL TRAVELERS UPLOADED TO NEEDS ON MY DESK NOTE WHEN THEY CAN BE REACHED AND HAVE VOICEMAIL SET UP ON THEIR PHONES. TRAVELERS WITHOUT VOICEMAIL SET UP WHEN A FACILITY REACHES OUT WILL BE REDIRECTED. PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD A TRAVELER TO THIS ASSIGNMENT WHO WOULD LIKE TO WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANOTHER PERM PLACEMENT OR TRAVEL ASSIGNMENT. PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD A TRAVELER TO ANY NEED ON MY DESK WHO IS GOING TO REQUEST SCHEDULE ACCOMMODATIONS (Block scheduling, etc). Non-billable orientation: 0hrs. Holiday Multiplier: 1.25%. OT - NO MULTIPLIER - ANY/ALL OT WILL BE WORKED AT REGULAR RATE. Call, Call-back: Not applicable for this need. Charge: 3$/hour.
Requirements
- 2+ years of CURRENT med surg/tele experience
- CHARGE EXPERIENCE [REQUIRED]
- DRIP EXPERIENCE IS [REQUIRED]
- MINIMUM 3 months previous travel experience [REQUIRED] - NON-NEGOTIABLE
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need
- Perm address must be included in profile
- Any/All RTO must be included in profile.
- ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION.
- Progressive Care Unit/PCU (pertinent to position), current to 1 year [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- Medical Surgical/MS (pertinent to position), current to 1 year [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- Telemetry/Tele (pertinent to position), current to 1 year [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- 1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment) [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- Vermont RN License or Compact - Must be uploaded with profile [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- Active American Heart Association BLS - [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
- Active American Heart Association ACLS - [REQUIRED] [DOCUMENT]
Nice To Haves
- ICU experience [strongly preferred]
- Small critical access facility experience [preferred]
Responsibilities
- Provide PCU care (3:1 ratio) when asked.
- Work Charge shifts as required.
- Float to any inpatient unit within their scope of practice.
- Work required holiday blocks if scheduled/needed.
