Registered Nurse (RN) -MedSurg
About The Position
Contract Registered Nurse position in Newport, Vermont, working in a critical access hospital across Med-Surg, PCU, and telemetry settings. The contract is 13 weeks, with 36 guaranteed hours per week. The schedule is night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holiday coverage. Floating to the Emergency Department, Maternal Child Health, and other units may be required. Agency professionals must attend quarterly department education sessions. Personal transportation is strongly recommended because public transportation is limited. Compensation is listed as $2,154 weekly gross, a blended hourly rate of $59, and $1,200 weekly taxable pay.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of nursing experience.
- Recent Med-Surg, PCU, or telemetry experience.
- Vermont RN license required upon acceptance.
- Current BLS/BCLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital setting.
- Charge nurse experience or capability.
- Cerner EMR experience.
