Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Telemetry - Maryview Medical Center
About The Position
Bon Secours is seeking a Registered Nurse for its surgical telemetry/Med-Surg department at Maryview Medical Center. The position delivers nursing care to patients with medical and surgical diagnoses, using organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical interventions, develop and carry out patient care plans, improve outcomes, and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment. The schedule is full-time, 36 hours per week, working days and evenings. The nurse collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team, collects vital signs, administers IV medications, charts and assesses patient condition, and evaluates and revises care plans to support planned outcomes. Medications must be administered safely in accordance with state practice requirements and Bon Secours policies and procedures.
Requirements
- One year of RN experience.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Six months of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire; must be obtained from an approved source before direct patient care. ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support is acceptable in lieu of BLS.
Responsibilities

- Administer medications safely in accordance with the State of Practice and Bon Secours policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
