About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Maryview Medical Center delivers nursing care to patients with medical and surgical diagnoses. The nurse assesses patient status, implements clinical nursing interventions, develops and performs patient care plans to improve outcomes, and helps ensure a safe and therapeutic environment. The role requires organizational and leadership skills and a diverse medical skillset.

The position is in the 5-South Surgical department and is scheduled for 36 hours per week on days/evenings. A sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is available.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• One year of RN experience.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification must be obtained from an approved source before providing direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support is acceptable in lieu of BLS.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Six months of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Collect vital signs, administer IV medications, document care, and assess patient condition.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plans of care to support planned and expected outcomes.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
