R084728 Registered Nurse (RN) - Float / Swat - Full Time
About The Position
Essentia Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Float Unit. The position is 0.9 FTE, working 36 hours per week in 12-hour shifts with a day/night rotation. The schedule includes every third weekend and every other holiday; there is no call obligation. The nurse organizes and provides patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse delegates aspects of care to nursing personnel according to their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions, and contributes to the facility’s and Essentia Health’s mission and goals while meeting applicable regulatory and accrediting requirements. The role includes a Float Pool premium in addition to base wages. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 for an ADN or up to $10,000 for a BSN.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in the state of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Organize and provide patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based on their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
- Contribute to the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia Health.
- Meet applicable Joint Commission and other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting requirements.
