About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The role uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassionate communication, and nursing skills to help create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum of care. This is primarily a PACU position in Atrium Health Lake Norman’s Perioperative Services team, with cross-training to Pre-op. The team provides surgical care across specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, and gynecology, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare teammates. Shifts vary according to unit needs, and some call is required.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Previous PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Department experience.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities
