About The Position
Spectrum Health Care is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a minimum 12-month contract with the possibility of extension or permanence. The role involves providing high-quality, patient-focused, safe, and holistic nursing care in a clinic setting. Nurses will manage a varied caseload, utilize best practices for successful patient outcomes, and continually assess and respond to patient needs. This position requires 12-hour shifts and offers flexibility in scheduling and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of community nursing experience
- Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Ability to work independently in managing a caseload
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required
- Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Basic proficiency in Word, Excel and ability to learn proprietary software
Nice To Haves
- Additional language skills
- Experience with infusion therapy, mental health, palliative care, and wound care
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-focused, safe, holistic nursing care in a clinical setting
- Ensure that nursing care provided to the patient is based on current and best practices to achieve successful outcomes
