Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Package Nights
About The Position
Crestview Specialty Care, a 65-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in West Branch, Iowa, is hiring a Weekend Package Registered Nurse. The role provides direct nursing care to residents and supports the unit’s daily clinical operations, with a focus on quality care and resident safety. The weekend package night schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The RN administers medications and treatments, monitors resident conditions and responds to changes, and collaborates with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members. The role also involves communicating with residents and families, maintaining accurate documentation, and following infection-control, safety, regulatory, and facility protocols. Requirements
- Hold a valid RN license in good standing that is valid in Iowa, or be able to activate one.
- Hold current, valid CPR certification.
- Have knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to helping others and treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
- Support daily clinical operations on the unit and promote quality care and resident safety.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
- Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicate with residents and families regarding care needs.
- Document care accurately in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and compliance protocols.
