About The Position

STGi is seeking a seasonal PRN Registered Nurse to work at one of three medical clinics in Yellowstone National Park: Old Faithful, Lake Village, or Mammoth Hot Springs. The Lake Village and Old Faithful seasonal facilities open at different times during April and May and operate until mid- to late October, depending on the clinic. Old Faithful and Lake Village provide urgent and emergency care, occupational healthcare, and some primary care to Park residents and employees. Nurses care for patients across a wide age range with diverse injuries and illnesses. Limited point-of-service laboratory and x-ray services are available at all three facilities. The role includes clinical assessment and treatment, patient documentation and transfers, medication administration, ECG interpretation, and sedation. It also involves radiological and point-of-service laboratory work, maintaining equipment, and supporting registration, insurance, collections, and payment arrangements. The nurse may need to assist with emergency rescues or mass-casualty response, though such events are described as extremely rare.

  • Discuss financial matters and payment expectations with patients or family members; enter insurance and collections activity according to established guidelines.
  • Arrange acceptable patient payment plans when requested, using credit-card or personal-check verification services.
  • Interact courteously and helpfully with patients in person and by phone, resolving questions when possible and referring concerns to the Charge Nurse or Clinic Manager as appropriate.
