About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers, directs, and supervises care for patients admitted to the nursing unit, using the nursing process and working under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization, and access to community resources. The role may include other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as Charge Nurse when appropriately certified. The position is listed as PRN days. Requirements
- Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if the state participates.
- Current BLS certification is required; BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
- Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment; ACLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
- Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
