About The Position

AffiniCare is hiring Registered Nurses to provide licensed nursing support at Care Initiatives skilled nursing communities. RNs travel to multiple locations within their region to help cover open shifts and can choose the facilities and shifts that fit their schedules. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, with a minimum work requirement of 16 hours per month. Applicants must live within a reasonable driving distance of Care Initiatives communities.

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license.
• Active CPR certification.
• Twelve months of verifiable experience working as an RN.
• Ability to travel between multiple Care Initiatives communities within the region.
• Live within a reasonable driving distance of Care Initiatives communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit while ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
• Travel between multiple Care Initiatives communities within the region to assist with open shifts.
