About The Position

AffiniCare is hiring Registered Nurses to provide licensed nursing staff to Care Initiatives’ 43 skilled nursing communities. RNs travel to multiple Care Initiatives locations within their region to help cover open shifts and provide care in a variety of settings. The role offers a customizable schedule: nurses can choose the facilities and shifts that work best for them, with a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.

The RN provides direct resident care and supports daily clinical operations while promoting quality, safety, and teamwork. The position requires an active Iowa RN license, active CPR certification, at least 12 months of verifiable RN experience, and the ability to travel between communities in the region. Applicants must live within a reasonable driving distance of Care Initiatives communities.

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license.
• Active CPR certification.
• Twelve months of verifiable experience working as an RN.
• Ability to travel between multiple Care Initiatives communities within the region.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNAs, LPNs, providers, and other interdisciplinary team members to promote teamwork and high-quality care.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
