About The Position

Provides clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting, fostering patient- and family-centered care. Demonstrates clinical competency using evidence-based practices and research across the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. Incorporates safety protocols, cost containment, and quality improvement into care, and identifies patient, unit, and organizational priorities. Follows organizational compliance requirements and policies, including licensure renewal, required training, employee health screenings, time and attendance, dress code, confidentiality, infection control, and medication administration. The acute inpatient setting may require weekend, holiday, and on-call work. This is a non-management position reporting to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
