About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Telemetry unit. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients with varying medical conditions, particularly cardiac and respiratory issues. This position will be based in the MS/Tele 4N unit, which focuses on patients with common conditions including Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), hypertension, asthma, pneumonia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. RNs will be required to titrate various medications, including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives. Nurse aides are available on the unit with a typical ratio of approximately 10-12 patients per aide. Telemetry techs monitor patients 24/7, with RNs co-signing rhythm strips. New clinicians are expected to be present for a week of orientation, which may include remote modules. Specific dates and locations will be provided during this period. This position is located in the vicinity of a major city in the United States, specifically City, State.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience
- ACLS (AHA) certification
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Experience with cardiac drips
- Experience with post-catheterization care
