About The Position

This is a Registered Nurse (RN) position working at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI. The role is 60% FTE, with an 8/10 day/evening shift, Monday - Friday. On-call responsibilities include weekends, weekday nights, and holidays. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. The RN will provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric perioperative patients and their families, and evaluate patient responses to care based on the effectiveness of nursing interventions in relation to established goals.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
• 6 months of current surgical general care or emergency department experience Required
• Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
• CPR certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
• 2 years of current independent PACU, critical care, or ICU experience Preferred
• ACLS certification Preferred
• PALS certification Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric perioperative patients and their families.
• Evaluate patient’s responses to care based on effectiveness of nursing interventions/actions in relationship to established goals.
