About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room plans, directs, coordinates, and provides high-quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process. The role reports to the Emergency Director of Patient Care Services/Shift Manager. This is a full-time night-shift position with a rotating holiday schedule (Rotation C). Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000, paid over 24 months.
Requirements
- Graduation from nursing school.
- At least 2 years of emergency nursing, flight nursing, or intensive care experience.
- Current California RN license.
- ACLS and PALS; new graduates must obtain these within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- TNCC; new graduates or nurses new to the ED must obtain it within the stated period after hire or transfer (the posting does not specify the number of months).
- Obtain the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) education module within 6 months of hire or transfer into the unit and maintain it thereafter.
- ENPC within 6 months of hire.
- The posting also lists 2 years of ER/ICU experience and TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS as required.
