About The Position

TK Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to patients in a secure correctional setting in Pitkin County, Aspen, Colorado. The position pays $50.00 per hour and includes full-time benefits. The nurse works alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team and cares for patients with a variety of medical and behavioral health needs. Correctional healthcare experience is not required; nurses from other healthcare settings may transition into the role.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to practice in Colorado.
Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain it as required.
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Nice To Haves

Correctional healthcare experience is not required; experience in hospitals, clinics, long-term care, home health, behavioral health, or other settings may be applicable.

Responsibilities

Assess patients and respond to their healthcare needs.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Perform nursing assessments and document patient care.
Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatment plans.
Provide patient education and promote continuity of care.
Manage chronic and acute medical conditions within the scope of nursing practice.
Coordinate care with providers and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Follow established clinical, safety, and security procedures.
Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
