About The Position

Join the Cardio Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) team, which has one suite and handles an average of two cases per week. Provide nursing care during straightforward cardiac procedures, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomies. The RN will work with two circulators per case and may float to the main OR when necessary. A one-week orientation is provided, or orientation continues until the RN feels comfortable. The role includes a weekend rotation, on-call duties with a 30-minute response time, and holidays as part of the required schedule. Scrubs are provided.

Requirements

• Current RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with EMR systems such as Cerner and Surginet.
• Willingness to float to the main OR when necessary.

• Scrubbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room environment.
• Collaborate with a team of two circulators per case to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with assignments and coordination for the following day's schedule, as managed by the Charge RN.
• Participate in the CVOR weekend rotation and on-call schedule.
• Engage in patient care during cardiac procedures, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomies.
• Float to the main OR when necessary.
