About The Position

An exciting opportunity to begin a nursing career on a specialized neurological unit. The unit provides a learning experience involving various neurological diseases and an opportunity to use nursing and critical-thinking skills. The Registered Nurse collaborates with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment to care for patients with conditions including stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Guillain Barre Syndrome.

The role provides high-quality nursing care to complex patients in a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. Nurses use continuous video EEG technology to assist with evaluating, diagnosing, and treating seizure disorders, and contribute to patient care planning and the overall success of the unit.

Requirements

• Telemetry experience.
• Current RN license in New York.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to complex patients in a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
