About The Position

The Registered Nurse works at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Orlando, Florida, providing compassionate care to patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputations, and multiple traumas. The RN works 12-hour day shifts and partners with a Nursing Assistant to support a manageable patient caseload and help patients meet goals and milestones in their individual care plans.

Requirements

• Valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive patient admissions and/or transfers.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Partner with a Nursing Assistant to help patients achieve goals and milestones in their individual care plans.
