Registered Nurse (RN) Skilled Community 7AM-7P Part-Time
About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the daily clinical aspects of the Assisted Living Department and works to meet residents’ needs. The role includes overseeing and administering medications for the Skilled Nursing Department in accordance with federal and state regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines. The nurse provides health-related consultation, communicates changes in residents’ health to physicians and/or family members, documents appropriately, responds to emergencies, coordinates with other departments and staff, maintains confidentiality, and provides educational meetings for residents and staff. The schedule is 7 AM–7 PM, with Tuesday and Saturday shifts in Week 1 and Sunday and Friday shifts in Week 2. Compensation is $38–$42 per hour. The position is part-time at Seasons Retirement Community.
Requirements
- Hold a current, valid Registered Nurse license in the state where practicing.
- Be CPR certified.
- Have at least 1 year of experience working in a clinical nursing setting.
- Be able to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
- Have proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to solve practical problems and handle variables in high-stress situations.
- Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and co-workers.
- Be compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and administer medications for the Skilled Nursing Department in compliance with federal and state regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
- Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
- Notify physicians and/or family members of changes in residents’ health and provide proper documentation.
- Respond quickly to emergencies.
- Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
