About The Position

The Heritage Oaks Patient Enrichment Center, also known as the ‘HOPE Center,’ is a new, state-of-the-art, 16-bed Psychiatric Health Facility dedicated to addressing the acute psychiatric needs of the community in collaboration with the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services. The HOPE Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team. The Registered Nurse is responsible for prescribing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, adhering to the nursing process, standards of care, and best practices. This role involves documenting patient information and nursing care, employing principles of communication, interviewing, problem-solving, and crisis intervention in psychotherapeutic interventions, and participating in the development of interdisciplinary treatment plans with specific, measurable goals and interventions tailored to each patient's needs.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required; Associate degree Required.
• Currently licensed to practice by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• CPR certification.
• Successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) training (provided in-house), including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
• Must demonstrate medication administration skills and complete nursing competencies skills checklist.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Preferred three (3) years working in a psychiatric health care facility.

Responsibilities
