About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) works under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. The RN uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. The role includes planning and coordinating patient care, interdisciplinary and discharge planning, teaching patients and families about post-hospitalization care, and accessing community resources. The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as a Charge Nurse; current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Requirements

• Current registered nurse (RN) licensure in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if the state participates.
• Current BLS certification.
• Evidence of AHA-approved ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
