About The Position

The Registered Nurse ensures residents receive appropriate personal care and are supported in attaining their optimum level of functioning. The role also helps ensure the center complies with organizational, local, state, and federal regulations. This is a full-time, night-shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing from an approved School of Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license in good standing from the state where the position is located.
• Strong clinical assessment and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of CMS and state regulations and skilled nursing facility standards.
• Effective communication and documentation abilities.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift 80–300 pounds with assistance or equipment.
• Frequent standing, walking, and responding to emergencies.
• RN license and CPR.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in long-term care and management of resident care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resident care with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and other disciplines to ensure quality care.
• Ensure care plans are implemented and updated based on resident needs.
• Partner with others to develop care plans and provide continuity of care to support the best outcomes for residents and clients.
• Administer scheduled medications promptly and ensure correct dosages are given.
• Support survey readiness and quality assurance activities.
• Answer call lights and communicate requests to the appropriate person when unable to meet them independently.
• Prioritize call-light requests and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
