Registered Nurse (RN) | Primary Care and Specialty Care, Winona MN
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work in a split-FTE role supporting Primary Care and Specialty Care services on the Winona, Minnesota campus. Primary Care includes Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. Specialty Care includes services such as Allergy, Asthma, General Surgery, Pediatric Specialty, Urology, and Cardiology. The nurse will care for patients of all ages and work collaboratively with clinicians and specialty providers to support coordinated, high-quality care. This is a 0.8 FTE, part-time position scheduled for 32 hours per week (64 hours per two-week pay period), with 8-hour shifts between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. The role does not require weekends or holidays. Starting pay is $31.98 per hour, with additional pay for experience. The position offers access to departmental leadership support, a Career Development Center, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- An RN license to work in Minnesota is required upon hire.
- An RN license to work in Wisconsin is required within 90 days.
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
- BLS for health care providers.
Nice To Haves
- One year of RN experience is preferred.
- Ambulatory or clinic experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients of all ages in primary and specialty care settings.
- Triage patient phone calls and assess patient needs.
- Monitor and manage INR results.
- Assist providers during procedures and deliver patient education.
- Manage EPIC in-basket workflows and MyChart communications.
- Conduct nurse-only visits, including wound care, ABI testing, hypertension follow-up visits, and patient education.
- Collaborate with outreach clinicians and specialty providers to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
