Registered Nurse (RN) -Critical Care
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse applies evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while helping create a safe patient environment and a positive patient experience across the continuum of care. The role is listed in the Critical Care: ICU department at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. The posting also describes a Step Down setting with 32 CCU beds and 12 Stepdown beds at a Level I Trauma Center. The full-time schedule is nights, 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., for 36 hours per week, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
